This week on The Creative Mother Podcast host Kate Hursthouse talks to Jasmine Kroeze an artist and all round mess maker from Pāpāmoa Beach in New Zealand. In this open and honest conversation Jasmine talks about her challenges with motherhood, the healing nature of art and how she rediscovered a new balance in her art and motherhood.
Jasmine paints original artwork and large scale murals. From her home studio, she also creates digital art in the form of textile designs and art prints. Jasmine’s work is a colourful chaos of cut out shapes. She draws inspiration from nature and creates her initial designs through paper collage and hand drawn marks. Her signature style has evolved through the way she plays with form, shapes and layering. Jasmine’s work is undeniably beautiful and organic.
