Earlier this year I was asked to create two custom boards by the team at Paper Rain.
It is always a fun challenge creating on a different material than I'm used to. I work in layers so was able to bounce back and forth between the two pieces. I always start with very inky fluid layers, and once I am happy with the base I start adding more structured graphic patterns and shapes.
Right now I’m particularly loving a colour palette which is giving me 80’s nostalgia vibes. I mixed some custom inks in pastel shades and I also added a touch of metallic with a Schmincke Aqua Bronze I picked up at Gordon Harris art supplies.
