At the beginning of October I took an online workshop called “A Bridge Between Drawing and Writing” with Monica Dengo.
Monica is an Italian calligrapher and if you have followed my journey for awhile you will know I have previously had the privilege to attend a couple of in person workshops with Monica, one in Italy and one in Japan.
COVID-19 has changed the landscape for so many artists, in-person workshops have become increasingly challenging and moving workshops online seems to be the way of the future. (I am working on this myself for 2022!). While not the same as being in-person it was so great to be able to connect with wonderful creative women around the world for 4 evenings.
During our latest Level 4 lockdown I had very little studio time. I spent a lot of time on the computer working on my business but very little time creating. I had my eye on this workshop for awhile and it was the perfect way to kickstart my studio practice again and get experimenting.
